Who am I?

Honestly still trying to figure that one out.
I was born near the city of São Paulo, Brazil, on September of 1996. Always drawn to the dark and unnatural, I can hardly remember a moment when I wasn't coming up with fantastical creatures and exotic worlds in my mind as a child.

After attempts at physics and design at the Universidade de São Paulo, I decided to embrace art as a career circa 2019, and at age 24, after finally grasping at the nature of my gender, I named myself Gabriella.

Why Nyx?

Nyx is my pen name, but also my guiding dark star.

She is a mother to all who walk the path of night.

My goal within art is to evoke her magic, bring life to her creation as I have always seen it in my mind's eye. To mold beauty out of darkness. And to best serve her designs, I am constantly striving to perfect my craft, decomposing analyzing and reshaping images to my will.

All matter of illustrative work which pertains to the dark, fantastical, feminine and beautiful is what my soul hungers for.
